A foreign couple who had registered their marriage in one province of Thailand faced difficulties when attempting to divorce.
The local officials were unable to process the divorce, requiring the couple to travel to the district office where the marriage was originally registered. However, the clients found it inconvenient due to the long travel distance.
Upon investigation, we discovered an internal system issue dating back to the registration day, the marriage registration data had not been entered into the official government system!
Therefore, we arranged for the clients to give their statements at a more convenient district office on the divorce day and acted as interpreters to communicate with the officials.
