In this case, the deceased had two families, descendants abroad and a new family in Thailand, where they had been living for over 20 years.

Consequently, the families decided to consult with lawyers to determine how the estate should be divided and which country’s laws should be applied.
Once the proportions were understood according to the respective laws, the Thai descendants were designated to manage the inheritance. They then signed documents to consent to this arrangement, which would be presented in future court proceedings.
